About

In line with the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement, the International Trade Centre (ITC) has partnered with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, to implement the project titled "Improving the Business Environment for Small and Medium Enterprises through Trade Facilitation." This initiative aims to enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian SMEs and boost export growth by facilitating trade procedures.

To support the implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement and align current practices with international standards and best practices, the International Trade Centre, in cooperation with the Jordan Customs Department, has developed a dedicated portal to provide information on foreign trade and logistics performance.

The portal is part of a broader initiative designed to increase Jordan’s compliance with the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and strengthen the global competitiveness of Jordanian SMEs.

The Foreign Trade and Logistics Performance Information Portal is a bilingual, interactive digital platform that provides accurate, relevant, and up-to-date information to decision-makers, public and private sector institutions, as well as stakeholders interested in trade performance and logistics indicators, including Release Time of Goods.

It is worth noting that the International Trade Centre (ITC) is a joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. With its unique mandate within the UN system, ITC focuses on enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in developing countries, transition economies, and least developed countries by enabling them to benefit from international trade, thereby contributing to income growth and job creation.
